A woman’s interaction with a homeless man looking through a trash can for food went viral.
Natasha Robinson posted a photo of herself next to a man she met while leaving school, and explained their heartwarming encounter in an accompanying post.
“Leaving school and I saw this man eating from the trash can. I asked would he like to go in Wendy’s to eat,” she wrote. “He said yes as we are walking he said, ‘Thank you, Lord, for sending someone.’ He told me he has not eaten since breakfast.”
Robinson explained that the Pope was in town and there were no Catholic soup kitchens open, so the man needed just enough food to make it to the next morning.
“After he ordered he said let’s take a picture on that fancy phone you have there. The world needs to see what a walking blessing looks like. He was so humble he was about to order from the dollar menu,” she wrote.
“I told him no don’t he dare he make sure he gets enough to be full…He said I can’t let you leave until I hug you. As he was hugging me he was praying… Little do he know I’m the one who received a blessing.”
Many readers applauded Robinson for her selfless act of kindness.
“We never know who we are helping but truth is that very pray that that man prayed will elevate her to another level and will open doors of blessing that JESUS CHRIST is getting ready to open that pray is her protection a simple blessing to a stranger that really was a blessing for her a test that this sister in CHRIST has to pass WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT,” one Facebook user commented on Robinson’s page.
“Miss Natasha you are a true example of compassion and Christian giving, God bless you…look past the projection of the story and see its meaning the woman was never mean and I applaud her again,” one Mad World News reader commented on the site’s Facebook page.
“God bless you! You certainly are an angel on earth! Please, everyone, take guidance from this beautiful soul, and help someone in need!” another wrote.
“Good women, It’s great what she did by buying his food. Alot of the homeless if you just give them money go straight to the liquor store. I’ve offered to them food before and they’ll tell to just give them the money. Good job Natasha,” another added.
